KAHUKU, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks took first as BYU-Hawaii women's cross country finished second place Saturday morning at the Kahuku Golf Course.
The Seasiders took second place with 40 points overall, following Hawaii Pacific who finished first with 22 points. Hawaii-Hilo took third with 92 points while Chaminade with 94 took fourth.
Horrocks crossed the finish line first with a time of 19:45 for the 5 kilometer course, holding off Hawaii Pacific's Allison Carone who finished second with a time fo 19:53. Olivia Rivera was the next Seasider to finish with a time of 20:14 in seventh place.
Amanda Turnbull Hooke took ninth place in 20:20, while Alyssa Odom took 12th in 20:46. Breann Howell, Mackenzie Martinez, and Lindi Young took 13th, 14th, and 15th with times of 20:52, 20:55, and 20:58 respectively.
BYU-Hawaii will race again October 8th in the Chaminade invitational.
