HONOLULU, Hawaii - BYU-Hawaii women's cross country placed third at the Chaminade Invitational on Saturday at Kapiolani Park.
The University of Hawaii-Manoa came in first with a total of 27 points, followed by Hawaii Pacific with 38. The Seasiders were next with a score of 58 and Hawaii-Hilo ended in fourth with 114 points.
Jessica Horrocks was the first of BYU-Hawaii's runners to cross the line and fifth overall with a time of 19:06. Olivia Rivera and Jolie Nelson were the next Seasiders to finish falling just outside the top-10 in 11th and 12th place with times of 19:48 and 19:51, respectively.
Amanda Turnbull finished immediately after them in 13th place in 19:55. Malacie Jorgensen (20:20, 17th), Lindi Young (20:21, 18th), and Julia Taylor (20:30, 19th) finished closely together for BYU-Hawaii.
The Seasiders' next race will be the PacWest Championships on October 24th in Riverside, California.
