SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – No. 1 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis swept past Dominican 9-0 to improve to 11-0 on the season on Friday at the Castellucci Family Tennis Center.

"We learned from yesterday and I felt we played better today," BYU-Hawaii head coach Dave Porter said. "We are looking forward to traveling back East to face several ranked teams. We appreciate all the support we have received from our fans and professors on this road trip and hope to represent the university well next week.

Jade Griffin and Kanela Adamson rebounded from a loss yesterday with an 8-0 victory over Dominican's (4-8) Kelly Zwicker and Cori Beeby. No. 16 Min (Karen) Liu and Shu-Ying (Suzie) Hsieh captured an 8-1 win, their fourth victory of the season at No. 1 doubles for the Seasiders, while No. 2 Nannan (Dallas) Zhang and Xin (Summer) Wen also took an 8-1 victory in No. 2 doubles.

No. 7 Liu started BYU-Hawaii off strong in singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rickimae Torres and Jeong Min Jeon added a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Alex Wartenberg in No. 3 singles. Adamson won 6-2, 6-1 for the Seasiders and teammate Chiung-En (JoJo) Wu added a 6-1, 6-2 victory moments later. Jade Griffen defeated Zwicker 6-3, 6-1 in No. 4 singles and Hsieh added a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Brooke Briseño.

BYU-Hawaii will complete its trip through Northern California Saturday with a match against Mills College at 9 a.m. PDT.
