LAIE, Hawaii (Jan. 29, 2014) - Despite rain and stormy conditions, the No. 2 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis team topped St. Catherine University 6-0 in a shortened match on Wednesday afternoon.
All of the singles matches were finished but the match was called due to weather throughout the day before doubles action was started.
The Seasiders had the edge in all of the matchups in singles from the No. 1-6 spots. At first singles, Min (Karen) Liu beat Victoria Bravo 6-3, 6-2 and in the second position Sasha Ulbrichtova dominated Maria Koval 6-0, 6-0.
Jin Jin (Leah) Han defeated Kylie Ketcho 6-4, 6-1 in No. 3 singles and Kanela Adamson in the No. 4 spot cruised over Kinzee Salo 6-0, 6-1.
BYU-Hawaii will next play at UH-Hilo on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 13-14.
