KAHUKU, Hawaii – Max Moncur led BYU-Hawaii men's cross country to its first first-place finish this season Saturday at the Kahuku Golf Course.
BYU-Hawaii finished in first place with a total of 22 points. Hawaii Pacific took second with 33 while Chaminade came in third with 84.
Moncur took first for the fourth consecutive meet with a time of 27:11 in the 8 kilometer race. Isaac Stinchfield followed in second with a time of 28:03 while Jackson Oliver's time of 28:05 earned him third.
Boston Wood placed sixth in 28:50. Philip Herrera and Dallin Olander finished tenth and eleventh with times of 29:26 and 29:31, respectively. Evan Marrow (29:46, 13th) and Nick Fox (31:10, 17th) were the remaining runners for the Seasiders.
BYU-Hawaii will race again October 8 at the Chaminade invitational at 7 a.m. HST.
