HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – No. 27 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis opened its East Coast road trip with a 5-1 victory over Alabama A&M Saturday.
The Bulldogs' (1-15) Nishanagan Nadraja defeated Sterling Galli on the first court 6-2, 6-2 to give Alabama A&M University their only point of the match.
On the second court No. 38 Guillermo Ucelay defeated Chirstian Bigott 6-1, 6-3 and Ibrahim Karmadzha took a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Masteo Monroy of Alabama A&M on the third court for the Seasiders (14-3). Chia-Hua Lu won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 against Carlos Salas. Simon Guillin beat Joshua Wilson 6-1, 6-2 on the fifth court and Tsu-Ping Kuang defeated Jarib Beazer to wrap things up for the Seasiders in a 5-1 victory.
The Seasiders continue their trip Monday against No. 9 Columbus State on Monday at 2 p.m. EDT.
