COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – No. 23 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis improved their record to 9-4 with a 9-0 sweep of Colorado College on Thursday at the Burghart Courts.
BYU-Hawaii took all three doubles courts from the Tigers (6-12) in 8-4 matches to take the 3-0 lead for the match.
Ibrahim Karmadzha took an early lead with his 6-1, 7-5 win over Jason Gutierrez on the first singles court. Another close victory came with Volodymyr Kashytski's 7-5, 6-4 match against Daniel Holland. Guillermo Ucelay, Wei-Feng Lee and Peng Dai each defeated their Colorado College opponents 6-2, 6-1. Simon Guillin played a 6-2, 6-0 match versus Jack Benham to finish off the Seasiders sweep for the day.
The Seasiders will finish their road trip on Saturday at Metro State at 10 a.m. MDT.
