McRae Named Preseason All-PacWest Player

IRVINE, Calif. – Jake McRae was selected by Pacific West Conference coaches to the 2016 Men's Soccer Preseason All-PacWest team on Wednesday.
In 2015 McRae shattered BYU-Hawaii's single-season scoring record by tallying 14 goals and took the scoring title in the conference.
BYU-Hawaii received one first-place vote and 102 total points to rank eighth in the coaches' preseason poll. Fresno Pacific was selected as the favorite to win this year's championship title, following their 2015 PacWest victory.
Fresno Pacific's Jorge Chedraui was named PacWest Preseason Player of the Year after several high ranks last season. PacWest Preseason Defender of the Year went to Point Loma's Tyler Allen and PacWest Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year was given to Bradley Trella of Dixie State.
McRae, Chedraui, Allen and Trella were All-PacWest First Team selections in 2015 and will each be a key contributor for their teams this season.
