HILO, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks took first as BYU-Hawaii women's cross country took second place Saturday morning at the Vulcan Invitational.
BYU-Hawaii finished in second place overall with a total of 41 points. Hawaii Pacific took first with 22, Hawaii Hilo came in third with 76, Chaminade came in fourth with 95.
Horrocks crossed the finish line in 24:25, followed by Amanda Turnbull whose time of 25:28 put her in seventh. Olivia Rivera was the next Seasider to finish with a time of 25:43 to rank 10th, while Lindi Young's 25:44 earned her 11th place. Mackenzie Martinez (26:01, 12th) and Breann Howell (26:12, 13th) were BYU-Hawaii's remaining runners.
The Seasiders will compete Sept. 24 at 7:45a.m. HST in the HPU Invitational held at Kahuku Golf Course.
