LAIE, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks' top five finish led BYU-Hawaii women's cross country to a third-place finish in the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Saturday morning.
Hawaii finished first with 21 points and four runners in the top five. Hawaii Pacific's three top ten finishers put them second with 48 points. BYU-Hawaii ended with 72 points, Hawaii-Hilo with 116 and Chaminade with 133.
Horrocks finished with a time of 19:16 to place third individually and Amanda Turnbull rounded out the top 15 with a 20:29 finish. Olivia Rivera (20:36.4, 17th), Mackenzie Martinez (20:36.8, 18th), Breann Howell (20:39, 19th), Lindi Young (20:43, 20th), Madison Hurley (21:02, 21st), Alyssa Woo (21:04, 22nd), Alyssa Odom (21:10, 25th), Eve Gonzalez (21:16, 26th), Sydney Taylor (21:25, 27th) and Jolie Nelson (22:24, 30th) rounded out the race for BYU-Hawaii.
The Seasiders will compete next at the UH Big Wave Invitational on Saturday at the Kahuku Golf Course at 7:45 a.m. HST.
