Women's cross country secures fourth place

KAHUKU, Hawaii – BYU-Hawaii women's cross country placed fourth in the UH Big Wave Invitational at the Kahuku Golf Course on Saturday.

The Seasiders finished with 116 team points at the race. Alaska Anchorage took the victory at 26 points with Hawaii on their heels at 34 points.

Jessica Horrocks led BYU-Hawaii with a 19:33.20 finish, coming in 12th place. Olivia Rivera's 20:27.10 time put her at 26th, just ahead of teammate Malacie Jorgenson who placed 28th at 20:32.83. The 31st place spot was filled by Amanda Turnbull with a 20:44.58 time and Lindi Young finished 32nd at 20:44.29.

BYU-Hawaii will race again at the Kahuku Golf Course on Saturday beginning at 7 a.m. HST.
