Seasiders finish second at Chaminade Invitational

LAIE, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks and Haley Olcott led BYU-Hawaii women's cross country to a second place finish at the Chaminade Invitational on Saturday.

The Seasiders finished with 38 points trailing only HPU's 21 points. Horrocks crossed the finish line in 18:51 to place fifth, while Olcott finished in sixth place with a time of 19:26.

BYU-Hawaii's Kami Dixon (20:08), Amanda Turnbull (20:09) and Malacie Jorgensen (20:23) finished eighth, ninth and tenth respectively to round out the top ten. Veronica Camarillo placed 15th with a time of 20:57 and Emily Thomas was 16th with a time of 21:02 to represent the final two scoring places for the Seasiders.

BYU-Hawaii will compete next in the HPU Invitational on Oct. 25 in their final tune up before the PacWest Championships.
