Horrocks and Olcott lead Seasiders to second place finish

LAIE, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks and Haley Olcott finished in the top five for BYU-Hawaii women's cross country at the BYUH Invitational on Saturday morning.

The Seasiders finished second in the team standings with 35 points trailing Hawaii Pacific by 10 points. Horrocks finished the 5K in 19:15 to take fourth, while Olcott was right behind her with a time 19:16.

Julia Taylor was the next Seasider to cross the finish line at the 19:47 mark to place seventh. Kami Dixon, Amanda Turnbull and Malacie Jorgenson finished ninth, 10th and 11th for BYU-Hawaii. Breann Howell was the last runner for the Seasiders with a scoring place finishing 15th with a time of 20:44.

BYU-Hawaii will enjoy two full weeks of rest before hosting the Chaminade Invitational on Oct. 11 at 8 a.m. HST between the soccer and softball fields.
