Horrocks and Olcott finish in the top 10

HILO, Hawaii – Jessica Horrocks and Haley Olcott both finished in the top 10 to lead BYU-Hawaii's women's cross country team to a third place finish at the 2014 Univesity of Hawaii at Hilo Invitational.

Alaska Anchorage secured the top spot of the six teams competing placing three runners in the top five. All six Seasiders finished in the top 20 to give the team 58 points at the invitational.

Horrocks was the first to cross the finish line for BYU-Hawaii in placing ninth in the 5K. Olcott and Breann Howell were right behind her placing 10th and 11th respectively.

Rounding out the runners for the Seasiders were Julia Taylor 13th, Kami Dixon 15th and Alyse Nelson 19th.

The Seasiders will compete in the Big Wave Invitational on Sept. 6 at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base.
