No. 6 volleyball team begins mainland road trip

LAIE, Hawaii (Oct. 1, 2013) The No. 6 BYU–Hawaii women's volleyball team begins a mainland road trip with Notre Dame de Namur on Wednesday and Holy Names on Friday night. 

he Seasiders have lost only one game this year and will look to keep it that way. The Notre Dame de Namur Argonauts stand at just 3-9 overall and will be eager to face BYU-Hawaii. Holy Names comes into the match winless and will also be hungry to take on the Seasiders. 

BYU–Hawaii will hope to continue its high powered offense against the Argonauts after overpowering Chaminade in their last match, winning in three-straight sets.

The Seasiders lead the Pacific West Confernece in hitting percentage (.276) and opponent hitting percentage (.113).

Juniors Shih Ting Chen and Erh Fang Hsu are off to good starts for BYU-Hawaii as well. Chen leads the PacWest in kills per set (4.80) and Hsu is the most efficient player in the league with a .394 hitting percentage.

Wednesday's match at Notre Dame de Namur is set to begin at 7 p.m. PT and Friday's Holy Names matchup will also start at 7 p.m. PT.
