Seasiders keep momentum rolling against Lakers

MORROW, Ga. – No. 1 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis defeated Clayton State 9-0 Wednesday at the Clayton State Tennis Facility for its 15th sweep of the season.

No. 13 Min (Karen) Liu and Leah Heimuli started off things on the right foot for BYU-Hawaii (21-0) beating their Clayton State (2-10) opponents Laura Toscan and Alina Ageichik 8-0 on the second court. Michelle Li Sha Khoo and Jeong-Min Jeon also won 8-0 on the third court and No. 2 Nannan (Dallas) Zhang and Xin (Summer) Wen finished the doubles sweet with an 8-1 victory over Kristiin Mets and Laura Shkembi.

McKenna Lloyd continued the Seasiders' hot streak taking down Brittney Canty 6-0, 6-0 to open singles play and No. 1 Zhang followed with her own 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Mets to seal the match victory.

Khoo defeated Toscan 6-0, 6-0 on the fifth court and Heimuli continued the pattern with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ageichik. No. 11 Wen took down Brianna Canty 6-0, 6-0 on the third court and No.2 Liu finished the sweep for the Seasiders with a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Shkembi.

BYU-Hawaii will face Augusta at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday at the Newman Tennis Center in Augusta, Ga.
