Lady Seasiders top Penmen

LAIE, Hawaii – Min (Karen) Liu never lost a game to lead No. 2 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis to a 9-0 sweep of Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday at BYU-Hawaii Tennis Courts.

The Seasiders' (14-0) Nannan (Dallas) Zhang and Xin (Summer) Wen opened the team scoring with an 8-1 victory over the Penmen's (13-5) Kaitlyn Poje and Sofia Morais. Michelle Li Sha Khoo and Jeong-Min Jeon added an 8-1 victory of their own on court three, while Liu and Leah Heimuli rounded out doubles play with an 8-0 victory on court two.

No. 4 Liu completed her flawless day with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Morais. No. 2 Zhang also won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 over No. 50 Abla Chadli and Wen was not far behind with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Anna Sala on court three.

The last three singles played pro sets with the light fading and the men's match still in the first set of singles play. Jeon, Heimuli and Khoo each won 8-0 to complete the sweep.

BYU-Hawaii will host Colgate at 1 p.m. HST Thursday at the BYU-Hawaii Tennis Courts. Live scoring will be available online.
