Seasiders dominate Cyclones

OAKLAND, Calif. – No. 1 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis completed the California leg of its road trip with its most dominant win of the season in a 9-0 sweep of Mills College on Saturday at the Mills College Tennis Courts.

The Seasiders (12-0) won the match without dropping a game for the first time this season.

No. 7 Min (Karen) Liu, Shu-Ying (Suzie) Hsieh, Jeong-Min Jeon, Jade Griffin, Kanela Adamson and Chiung-En (Jojo) Wu each defeated their Cyclone (0-10) opponents in perfect 6-0, 6-0 singles matches.

No. 2 doubles pair Nannan (Dallas) Zhang and Xin (Summer) Wen shut out Gwendolynn Fernstrom and Christine Wu. Seasiders pairings of Griffin and Adamson and Wu and Jeon also defeated the Cyclones 8-0 in doubles.

BYU-Hawaii will travel to Georgia to face Clayton State on Monday at 10 a.m. EDT.
