COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 4 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis defeated No. 8 Columbus State University in a 6-3 match on Tuesday afternoon at the Columbus State tennis courts.
No. 2 Nannan (Dallas) Zhang conquered No. 12 Beatriz Leon 6-2, 6-3. No. 6 Min (Karen) Liu played another 6-2, 6-3 match over Kirsa Utech. A 6-1, 3-0 Seasider (21-1) victory came from No. 10 Marietta Tuionetoa versus Giorgia Vitale.
No. 3 Liu and Zhang fell 8-6 to Leon and Vitale. Tuionetoa and Han played a 9-7 match over Utech and Camila Tobar. Chieng-en (Joanne) Wu and Jade Griffin ended doubles play with an 8-2 loss to Columbus State.
BYU-Hawaii will play the University of West Alabama on Wednesday at 12 p.m. EDT.
