Lady Seasiders finish off another sweep

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - No. 4 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis continued their winning streak as they swept No. 25 Point Loma in a 9-0 match on Monday night at the Point Loma Tennis Courts.

No. 2 Nannan (Dallas) Zhang had a swift 6-1, 6-0 victory over Madeline Cunningham. No. 6 Min (Karen) Liu played a 6-2, 6-0 match against Nikki Newell. A 6-0, 6-3 win came from No. 10 Marietta Tuionetoa versus Point Loma's Regina Von Koch.

Jade Griffin added a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Sea Lions' Hillary Ramage to extend the Seasider advantage. Another 6-2, 6-0 victory came from Jeong-Min Jeon versus Jen Weissman, while Jin Jin (Leah) Han closed out singles play against Wileen Chiu in a 6-1, 6-0 shutout.

Doubles play started with No. 3 Liu and Zhang taking an 8-2 match over their Sea Lion competitors. Tuionetoa and Han also defeated their challengers 8-2. An 8-4 win from Griffin and Chieng-En (JoJo) Wu.

BYU-Hawaii will stay on the road to play at Vanguard on Tuesday at 3 p.m. PST.
