9-0 sweep for No. 3 BYU-Hawaii

OAKLAND, Calif. (April 5, 2014) - The No. 3 BYU-Hawaii women's tennis team finished out its mainland road trip with a 9-0 sweep of Mills College in California.

The 21-0 Seasiders breezed through most of the match, taking every singles match in straight sets and winning the doubles points with the closest score being 8-1.

No. 7 Marietta Tuionetoa and Marika Kobayashi had an 8-0 win and Jeong-Min Jeon and Kanela Adamson matched the effort of the No. 1's in the third doubles with another 8-0 win.

Jade Griffin and Jin Jin (Leah) Han won No. 2 doubles 8-1.

Sasha Ulbrichtova, No. 2 singles, and Adamson, Jeon and Griffin in the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions all won 6-0, 6-0 against their opponents.

Ranked No. 16 and playing in first singles, Min (Karen) Liu won 6-1, 6-0 and Han in third singles beat her opponent 6-0, 6-1.

BYU-Hawaii will return to Hawaii and face Chaminade on Monday.
