BYU-Hawaii improves to 11-0 with 8-1 victory over Sacred Heart

LAIE, Hawaii (Mar. 4, 2014) - The No. 2 Seasider women's tennis team won 8-1 over Sacred Heart Tuesday.

BYU-Hawaii improved to 11-0 with the win.

The Seasiders took two of three doubles points and swept through the singles, handling business yet again to stay undefeated.

In first singles, Min (Karen) Liu won 6-3, 6-1 while Marietta Tuionetoa won 6-2, 6-1 in the second match.

Jin Jin Han also won 6-2, 6-1 in third singles while Sasha Ulbrichtova and Kanela Adamson picked up victories in fourth and sixth singles. Jeong-Min Jeon dropped the fifth singles contest.

In doubles, the first and second matches went to the Seasiders.

Tuionetoa and Marika Kobayashi won in No. 1 doubles and Liu and Nannan Zhang won 8-1.

In a close third doubles matchup, Jade Griffin and Han lost a close one 8-6.
