LAIE, Hawaii – BYU-Hawaii women's soccer fell 1-0 to Dixie St. Saturday afternoon at the BYU-Hawaii Soccer Field.
The Seasiders (4-5-1, 3-3-0 PacWest) were held scoreless in the loss, while Alexis Torres scored the lone goal for the Trailblazers (5-5-0, 3-2-0 PacWest).
The Trailblazers answered quickly when Torres scored her first goal of the season, tapping the ball past the keeper for a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.
Both teams remained scoreless in the second half. The Trailblazers' Kamie Hunter had two chances to score in the 60th and 88th minute, but both shots sailed wide. The Seasiders had a chance to score late in the second half with shots by Rachel Orchard and Caitlin Wadley in the 83rd and 87th minute with both shots just missing the frame.
The Seasiders will take on Concordia on Monday at 2:30 p.m. HST. Live stats will be available online.
