LAIE, Hawaii - BYU-Hawaii women's soccer tied with Hawaii Pacific 1-1 on Saturday afternoon's game at the BYU-Hawaii soccer field.
Brena Jarvis Love was able to score the only goal for the Seasiders with a through ball sent from Kala Brundige beat the keeper to the ball and rolled it into the back of the net 1-0 in the first half.
In the 31st minute, a shot on goal by Hawaii Pacific (0-2-1) forced a reaction from Camille Jones to keep the game 1-0 in an advantage to the Seasiders (0-2-1) as they finished the first half.
The Sharks retaliated with a shot by Sara Romo in the 81st minute that got past the keeper and tied the game for Hawaii Pacific 1-1.
Kristine Reynolds had another opportunity for the Seasiders to put them ahead late in the first overtime, but the keeper got a glove on the bouncing ball to punch it over the net.
Just a second too late, McKenzie Moore looked for a golden goal with a high shot that Alannah John's saved anyways to keep the 1-1 tie after the first over time.
The Seasiders return to action on Tuesday as they take on Chaminade University at 3:00 pm HST at the BYU-Hawaii soccer field. Live stats will be available online.
