LAIE, Hawaii (Nov. 6, 2013) - Senior Tasha Campbell scored in the 87th minute to secure a senior-day win over Hawaii Pacific 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Seasiders (8-4-1, 7-3-1) won their seventh in a row behind Campbell's late goal. BYU-Hawaii was hungry all game, taking 11 shots in the match including six on goal.
"I'm super proud of my senior class getting the job done," head coach Alex Ruegner said. "They've got great support around them and I couldn't be happier for every player to get another win today."
Senior Megan McCain posted another clean sheet, shutting out the Sea Warriors (6-8-2, 4-5-2) for 90 minutes with three saves.
Campbell found the goal with the help of an assist from fellow senior Kailee Kartchner. Kartchner tapped it near Campbell for her to bounce it in the goal late in the game for the score.
The goal was all the seniors and the Seasiders would need to hold off HPU for the victory.
BYU-Hawaii travels to Hilo for its final match of the regular season on Saturday.
