LAIE, Hawaii (Oct. 19, 2013) – Sydnee Vidal's late goal in the 85th minute helped the BYU-Hawaii women's soccer team defeat Fresno Pacific 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Vidal's first score of the year came when the Seasiders (4-4-2, 3-3-1) needed it most after playing a solid defensive game all day.
BYU-Hawaii kept on the attack the entire match with 13 total shots and finally got one to go with time winding down. Fresno Pacific (6-5-1, 4-3-1) was held to just five shots in 90 minutes of play.
Goalkeeper Megan McCain turned in another shutout, picking up three saves and playing the entire game.
BYU-Hawaii has built some momentum now, winning its last three matches.
The Seasiders play Chaminade on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Laie.
