Lady Seasiders look to improve seeding

LAIE, Hawaii - BYU-Hawaii women's basketball heads into one last match up before the PacWest Conference Championship against Academy of Art in the Cannon Activities Center at 5 p.m. HST on Thursday.

BYU-Hawaii (14-11, 11-8 PacWest)

  • In their last game, the Seasiders defeated Holy Names 84-73. Celeste Claw lead the team to victory with 19 points, five rebounds and six assists. 
  • Whitney Fieldsted had her eighth double-double of the season against the Hawks with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
  • BYU-Hawaii shot 48.4 percent from the field and 43.5 from behind the arc in their last game.
  • Last time the Seasiders faced the Urban Knights, they overcame them 72-68, shooting 44 percent on 3-pointers and out rebounding them 43-38.
  • BYU-Hawaii is ranked sixth in the conference, just behind Academy of Art.

  • In their game against Hawaii Hilo, Jasmine Guinn lead the Urban Knights to a 59-55 victory and scored 26 points, the fifth-most points in Art U women's basketball history.
  • Academy of Art shoots 73.9 points per game to their opponent's 70.8.
  • Zoie Sheng leads the scorers with 13.7 points per game and Guinn comes in close with 13.6 points.
  • Sha'Nice Storey averages two 3-pointers per game at 33.8 percent.
