LAIE, Hawaii (April 21, 2014) – The BYU-Hawaii women's basketball team added Devyn Kauhi to the 2014 recruiting class.
"We are very excited to have a player of Devyn's caliber," head coach Craig Stanger said. "She's a versatile 5-foot-10 guard who will be able to contribute in a lot of different ways for us."
Kauhi played high school ball at Roosevelt High in Honolulu. She earned first-team all-league recognition as a sophomore, junior and senior to go along with second team honors as a freshman. Kauhi won the Impact Player Award, along with Roosevelt's MVP in back-to-back seasons her final two years.
She totaled 152 points during her senior season, averaging just under 10 points per game. Kauhi helped lead Roosevelt to an OIA Red Division championship and went to the state championships every season.
Graduating with a GPA above 3.5, she earned academic recognition as well to go along with her four years as a varsity athlete.
