LAIE, Hawaii (Jan. 29, 2014) - The BYU-Hawaii women's basketball team returns to Laie to take on the Azusa Pacific Cougars in the first of a three-game homestand on Thursday.
Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. from the Cannon Activities Center. The first 25 students in section U will receive a free pair of Sidernation sunglasses.
BYU-Hawaii (2-14, 2-9) finally broke through on the road, winning its first game and followed it up with another victory to go 2-2 on the trip. The Seasiders were in every game too, holding an advantage over conference leader Academy of Art until a late comeback from the Urban Knights.
Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo was in a groove on the road and will look to keep it going at home. She scored a season-high 29 points at Notre Dame de Namur and averaged 19.0 points with 6.0 rebounds in the four-game trip. Tatupu-Leopoldo also shot 55 percent from behind the arc.
Azusa Pacific (11-5, 9-1) is in second place in the PacWest standings and has won back-to-back games.
