Seasiders swept by Eagles (Game 2)

WAIPAHU, Hawaii – BYU-Hawaii softball fell 4-0 and 8-0 Saturday in a doubleheader with Chaminade at Central Oahu Regional Park.

Lizabelle Talataina led the Seasiders (9-17, 6-8 PacWest) at the plate, going 4 for 7 with a double, a triple and two stolen bases.

Amy Eilefson went 3 for 6 with three RBI and a home run to lead the Eagles (18-9-2, 8-4 PacWest). BethAnn McCann (7-2) and Grayson Harvey (9-4) got the wins in the circle for Concordia.

Game two

  • Concordia got on the board early on in the first inning when Eilefson singled to left field to allow Ryann Ferguson to score for the 1-0 lead.
  • Mackenzie Graham homered to left field and a groundout from Heather Nonora allowed Sarah Kretschmar to score and put the Eagles up 3-0 in the second.
  • The Eagles added five more runs on three hits over the next three innings and BYU-Hawaii was unable to capitalize on its scoring chances to end the game 8-0 in five innings.

BYU-Hawaii will return to the diamond Friday to face Dixie State in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at the BYU-Hawaii Softball Field. Live stats will be available online.
