Game One

After Courtney Hiruko reached first on a dropped fly in the top of the first inning, Tiffany Smith's sacrifice bunt allowed her to reach scoring position, but she was unable to capitalize as the next two batters struck out. Destyni Valencia walked Emily Greene with two outs, but the Seasiders got out of the jam to keep the game scoreless headed to the second.

Hilo's Amanda Lara singled to left field in the bottom of the second, but was put out at third base as the game remained scoreless.

With one out and the bases loaded, the Vulcan's Melanie Morelos sacrificed out to right field to score one and a walk and a single scored two more for a 3-0 Vulcan lead.

After a scoreless fourth inning, Anu Memea singled to the pitcher with one out and was left on base as the succeeding batters flied out to right field and lined out to the shortstop. Greene singled to left field with one out in the bottom of the fifth, and a fielding error moved her into scoring position. Catcher's interference put loaded the bases for a Vanessa Salinas single to make it a 4-0 Hilo lead.

The Seasiders were unable to make it on base in the sixth inning. In the bottom of the frame, the Vulcans added four more runs to their tally to end the game.

Game Two

The Vulcans struck early in the second game when Morelos sent a ball over the left-field fence for a two-run homerun in the bottom of the first.

Both teams were unable to plate a runner over the next five innings, and the Vulcans pitching continued to hold the Seasiders at bay.

In the top of the sixth, Kalynn Latu was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on Hiruko's single up the middle. Smith walked after a rain delay to load the bases for the Seasiders. Williamson singled to left field and advanced on the throw to bring home two and tie the game 2-2. Talataina grounded out to the shortstop, but Smith came home to give BYU-Hawaii the lead. Vasquez then singled home Williamson to make it 4-2 in the Seasiders' favor.

With two outs, Hilo's Colleen Aubrey singled home one and Morelos added two more RBI with a bases loaded single to regain the 5-4 lead for the Vulcans. An illegal pitch added one more run to make it 6-4 heading into the final inning.

Latu singled to left field to advance Jessica Nicholes to second with one out in the seventh, but the Seasiders were unable to capitalize leaving the runners stranded.
