KAHUKU, Hawaii – Max Moncur dominated the Big Wave Invitational as he finished first for BYU-Hawaii men's cross country Saturday morning at the Kahuku Golf Course.
BYU-Hawaii finished in second place overall with a total of 32 points. Hawaii Pacific took first with 26 and Chaminade came in third with 81.
Moncur crossed the finish line in 16:17, followed by Jackson Oliver whose time of 16:55 put him in third. Freshman Boston Wood was the next Seasider to finish with a time of 17:21 to rank sixth, while Philip Herrera's 17:39 earned him 10th place. Dallin Olander (18:08, 13th), Nick Fox (19:01, 15th) and Jordan Onkst (19:48, 18th) were BYU-Hawaii's remaining runners.
The Seasiders will compete next Saturday at Hilo at 7:30 a.m. HST.
