HILO, Hawaii – Senior Carston Feigleson led the way for BYU-Hawaii men's cross country to a second place finish at the University of Hawaii-Hilo Cross Country Invitational.
Hawaii Pacific topped the inter-island race with 19 points. The Seasiders were second with 45 points and Chaminade finished third with 76 points.
Feigleson finished second with a time of 16:46.4 behind Hawaii Pacific's Jacob Alplund. Freshman Max Moncur placed seventh with a time of 17:34.7 and was the only other Seasider in the top 10. Hawaii Pacific had seven of the top-10 finishers and Chaminade's Mark Jason Keahiokekai Inay placed 10th.
Freshman Philip Herrera led a pack of Seasiders across the finish line with a time of 18:05.8 to place 12th. The remainder of the BYU-Hawaii team followed with freshman Evan Stolk 13th (18:08.3), freshman Aden Pierce 14th (18:32.0) and junior Taylor Mower 15th (19:33.5).
BYU-Hawaii will race again Saturday at the UH Big Wave 8k at the Kahuku Golf Course.
