Miller earns 1st Team All-Conference, Seasiders take 5th at PacWest Championships

NOVATO, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2013) - Kevin Miller finished fifth in the men's 8K and the BYU-Hawaii men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Pacific West Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning.

The Seasiders took fifth with 120 total points. Cal Baptist won the title with 37 points while Hawaii Pacific (76), Azusa Pacific (84) and Academy of Art (105) finished in front of BYU-Hawaii's fifth place finish of 11 conference teams participating.

Miller finished the race in a time of 26:53.7 to finish fifth and earn First Team All-Conference honors.

Tanner Smith was the next Seasider in with a time of 27:45.7, good for 19th overall and Third Team All-Conference recognition.

Next finishers for BYU-Hawaii were Thomas Hesselgesser in 28th (28:02.5), Matthew Belliston in 30th (28:25.9), Clayton Kearl in 38th (28:52.9) and Carston Feigleson in 43rd (29:24.2).
