LAIE, Hawaii (Oct. 18, 2013) - The BYU-Hawaii cross country teams will be competing at home in the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Saturday morning. The event will serve as a special tribute to Heidi Greenwood, a runner who was expected to join the Seasiders this fall but passed away unexpectedly in March.

Runners will wear purple ribbons, Heidi's favorite color, in honor of Heidi along with a special moment of silence before the race. Seasider fans are encouraged to come not only to support the home team in their only home meet remaining this season, but also for Heidi and the Greenwood family.
The women's team is coming off a victory at the Hilo Invitational and the men's team has strung together three first-place finishes in a row.
The start of the women's race is set to begin at 8 a.m. HT with the men following shortly after. The start will take place between the BYU-Hawaii softball field and soccer field.
