HILO, Hawaii (Oct. 12, 2013) - Kevin Miller from the men's cross country team helped the BYU-Hawaii pick up a first-place finish at the UH-Hilo Invitational on Saturday morning.
Miller won the men's 5K in 16:03. The team scored 20 points to out-perform Hawaii Pacific with 48 points and Chaminade's 59.
BYU-Hawaii took the third, fourth and fifth overall positions following Miller. Matthew Belliston was third with a 16:24, Thomas Hesselgesser in 16:26 for fourth and Clayton Kearl in 16:33 in fifth place overall. Tanner Smith finished as the Seasiders fifth runner with a time of 16:36 and seventh place overall.
BYU-Hawaii hosts the next meet in Laie on Saturday, Oct. 19.
