FULLERTON, Calif. – No. 21 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis had a lead, but the match was rained out against Hope International on Friday.
Wei-Feng Lee and Peng Dai earned an 8-5 victory for the Seasiders in doubles and Ibrahim Karmadzhe and Colton Pate added an 8-4 victory. A forfeit on the final doubles court gave the Seasiders a 3-0 advantage in the match.
Lee, Dai, Volodymyr Kashytski and Simon Guillin all took the first set from their opponents in singles, but the rain prevented any from finishing their matches to get the final point needed for a win.
The Seasiders return to action against Sonoma State on Saturday at 11 a.m. PST in Azusa, California.
