LAWTON, Okla. (Mar. 27, 2014) - The No. 22 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis team defeated No. 17 Cameron 5-0, and No. 47 Southwest Baptist 5-0 in two shortened matches on Thursday afternoon.
BYU-Hawaii swept the doubles points to take a 3-0 lead after Yevhen Zakharov and Martin Chojnacki took No. 1's and Wei-Feng Lee and Peng Dai won No. 2 and Ibrahim Karmadzhe and Taylor De Hoyas took third doubles.
Lee and Karmadzhe finished their singles matches to make it 5-0. Lee won No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-1 and Karmadzhe won No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-2.
Against Southwest Baptist, things fell in line for the Seasiders again.
The same doubles tandems all were victorious to make it 3-0 after the pairings finished playing.
Karmadzhe finished up the No. 4 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 and Ian Galli got another point with a win in the No. 6 matchup.
Men's tennis will visit Midwestern State tomorrow.
