RICHARDSON, Tex. (Mar. 25, 2014) - Continuing its winning ways, the No. 19 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis team defeated the University of Texas at Dallas 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Seasiders had little trouble with the Comets, taking the doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-4 a d 8-6 in first, second and third doubles, respectively.
No. 1's Yevhen Zakharov and Martin Chojnacki, No. 2's Peng Dai and Wei-Feng Lee, along with No. 3's Ibrahim Karmadzhe and Taylor De Hoyas all picked up wins.
In singles, Zakharov won first singles 6-1, 6-0 and Chojnacki had a 6-4, 6-1 win in second singles.
Lee won third singles 6-2, 6-2 and Karmadzhe cruised 6-1, 6-1 for a victory.
Dai had a hard-fought win with a 6-4, 7-5 triumph in the fifth spot and Ian Galli wrapped up No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-3.
BYU-Hawaii will visit Cameron University for another match tomorrow.
