Seasiders rout UH-Hilo 9-0

LAIE, Hawaii (Mar. 10, 2014) - Cloudy skies and rain wasn't going to stop the No. 19 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis team this time as it rolled by the University of Hawaii at Hilo 9-0 on Monday afternoon.

BYU-Hawaii took the No. 1 doubles match with Martin Chojnacki and Yevhen Zakharov getting an 8-4 win, while second doubles was a tight 9-7 victory for Peng Dai and Wei-Feng Lee.

In No. 3, doubles, Ibrahim Karmadzhe and Ian Galli won 8-2 to take all three points.

The Seasiders continued to cruise in singles, with Zakharov notching a 6-0, 6-2 win and Chojnacki got past his opponent 6-2, 7-5.

Going into No. 3 singles, Lee won 6-3, 6-1 and Karmadzhe topped the No. 4 matchup 6-1, 6-0.

No. 5 featured Dai getting tested but coming out in front 6-4, 6-4 and Bridger Myers won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot to make it a clean sweep.

BYU-Hawaii hosts Holy Names on Wednesday.
