Men battle for 7-2 win vs. Sacred Heart

LAIE, Hawaii (Mar. 4, 2014) - Five of six singles matches and two of three doubles points went to the No. 19 BYU-Hawaii men's tennis team for a 7-2 victory over Sacred Heart on Tuesday.

Exciting doubles matches set up an exciting day for the Seasiders, improving to 5-3 on the year.

Martin Chojnacki and Yevhen Zakharov were victors in a 9-7 battle in first doubles.

Peng Dai and Wei-Feng Lee got the second score with an 8-2 win in No. 2 but Ibrahim Karmadzhe and Ian Galli fell 8-6 in a tough third doubles.

The No. 1-5 singles matches went to BYU-Hawaii.

Zakharov won 6-0, 6-1 while Chojnacki fought through a tough No. 2 matchup, winning it 7-6 (7), 6-4.

Lee had another battle in third singles with a 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (7) win.

Karmadzhe and Dai won 6-1, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-2 in No. 4 and No. 5 singles.

Taylor De Hoyas dropped the No. 6 matchup 6-3, 6-0.
