Seasiders paddle out for long road trip

LAIE, Hawaii (Sept. 25, 2013) – The BYU-Hawaii men's soccer team will start its long road trip on Thursday, playing four games in eight days. Landing in California the Seasiders first road games will be against Azusa Pacific on Thursday, Sept. 26 followed by Cal Baptist on Saturday Sept. 28.

As Pacific West Conference play begins, the Seasiders are coming off an offensive scoring frenzy, recording three or more goals in their last two wins over Chaminade and HPU.

BYU-Hawaii's Michael Moreno hopes to keep his personal hot streak alive on the road as well. He was named PacWest Player of the Week and scored three goals, including two at HPU.

Azusa (5-3-0, 2-0) had a slow start to the season, losing its first three games, but has won its last five in a row. Cal Baptist (1-3-1, 1-2) recently suffered a tough loss where they were shut out against Fresno Pacific, 3-0.

Thursday's match against Azusa begins at 7:30 p.m. PST in Azusa, Calif., and Saturday's contest against Cal Baptist will start at 3:30 p.m. PST in Riverside, Calif.
