Scoring comes up short against Cal Baptist

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2013) – The BYU-Hawaii men's soccer team came out of the wrong end of a 3-0 decision in a loss to Cal Baptist on Saturday afternoon.

The Seasiders (2-3-1) managed 11 total shots, including five on goal but nothing came of it in the end. The Lancers (2-3-1) had an aggressive game plan, mustering 20 shots with 10 going on goal.

In the 24th minute, CBU picked up its first score on a pass from the left that snuck past BYU-Hawaii keeper Chris Pineda.

The Lancers got their second and third goals after halftime to put it out of reach for the Seasiders.

Mike Moreno led BYU-Hawaii on the attack with four shots in the match.

The Seasiders have two more matches on the mainland road trip with the next one coming on Oct. 1 at Point Loma in San Diego at 3:30 p.m. PST.
