STOCKTON, Calif. – No. 9/10 BYU-Hawaii men's golf finished its first round in 15th place at the NCAA Division II Men's West/South Central Regional at Brookside Country Club.
The Seasiders were even par on the first day, while Sonoma State and California Baptist University led the field at 14 under par.
Nicolas Herrera led BYU-Hawaii with a 5-under 67 to tie for fifth on the individual leaderboard. Federico Clausen added a 1 over to tie for 64th, while Jacob Godfrey and Dalton Stanger each finished at 2 over to tie for 76th. Alex Stulce rounded up the team with a 4-over 76 to tie for 93rd.
BYU-Hawaii will look to move up the leaderboard when they hit the course again Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. PDT on the 10th tee. Live stats will be available online.
