Seasiders take first at CBU Invitational

CORONA, Calif. – No. 16 BYU-Hawaii men's golf team finished first at the CBU Men's Invitational at the Eagle Glen Golf Club.

The Seasiders finished at the top of the leaderboards against 18 other teams shooting one over par and 10 strokes ahead of second place Holy Names, who finished 17 over. No. 15 California Baptist placed third at 17 over, edging out No. 32 Western Washington by three strokes.

Trevor Lampson overtook Nicolas Herrera in the individual leaderboards the third round shooting nine under par to finish the tournament. Nicolas Herrera led the Seasiders shooting seven under par and getting birdies in four holes.

Jacob Godfrey followed tying for 11th shooting four over par. Alex Stulce was third for the Seasiders and tied for 17th overall at seven over par.

Dalton Stanger and Federico Clausen tied for 19th shooting six over par.

BYUH-Hawaii will travel next to Goodyear, Arizona, for the Mustang Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club Apr. 3-4.
