Herrera leads Seasiders to fourth place finish

LIVERMORE, Calif. – No. 23 BYU-Hawaii men's golf finished in fourth after the Tuesday's final round of the NDNU Argonaut Invitational at Poppy Ridge Golf Course.

The Seasiders finished at 22 over par with a final round of 8-over 296. Cal Baptist won the team title at 6 over, while Dixie State finished second at 14 over and Cal State Monterey Bay was third at 19 over.

After a slow start, Nicolas Herrera eagled the par-5 ninth hole to gain momentum and ended the day at even par. Herrera ended the tournament at 3 under par to place second.

Jacob Godfrey finished tied for 15th, recording three birdies on his way to a 3-over 75 in the final 18 holes. Alex Stulce birdied two of his final three holes to also finish at 3 over and end the tournament tied for 24th.

Federico Clausen recorded his best round of the tournament at 2 over par and finished tied for 47th at 14 over for the tournament. Dalton Stanger tied for 57th at 16 over par.

BYU-Hawaii will hit the links again at the CBU Men's Invitational at Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California, Mar. 20-21. Live scoring will be available online.
