LIVERMORE, Calif. – No. 20 BYU-Hawaii men's golf finished the first two rounds of the East/West Bay Area Invite in second place at the Course at Wente Vineyards.
The Seasiders were 15 over par on the day to finish two strokes behind Holy Names after 36-holes. No. 24 Cal State East Bay is close behind at 16 over to round out the top three.
Nicolas Herrera led the Seasiders finishing at 2 over, including an opening round of 1-under 71, to sit at fourth on the individual boards on the day. Federico Clausen was one stroke back of Herrera to tie for sixth. He had a strong second round going 3 under on the back nine to finish with a 2-under 70.
BYU-Hawaii will wrap up competition tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. PST.
