BELMONT, Calif. – BYU-Hawaii men's golf finished the first two rounds of the NDNU Argonaut Invitational in 10th place at 27 over par on Monday.
Chico State and Simon Fraser tied for first place with overall team scores of 12-over-par 588. The Seasiders were in third place after the first 18 holes, but fell back in round two.
Seasider Nicolas Herrera led the team with his third place finish at 2 under par in the first round and added a 77 in the second round to finish the day at 3 over and 10th overall.
Inoka Kahawaii was 17th individually with a score of five over par and Brent Grant was a stroke behind him to tie for 24th. Jacob Godfrey ended the day at 14 over and, after not participating in the first 18, Dalton Stanger finished with a five over in the second round.
BYU-Hawaii will continue to the third round of play on Tuesday.
