LIVERMORE, Calif. – BYU-Hawaii men's' golf finished in eighth place after the final round of the East/West Bay Area Invite at Wente Golf Course.
The Seasiders shot a 39-over 327 over the final 18 holes. Saint Martin's had the best day with an 11 over team score to finish at 46 over for the tournament and pass Claremont-Mudd-Scrips and Western Washington for the team title. The Saints Ryan Pickthorn won the individual title with at 4 over after shooting even par in the final 18.
Nicolas Herrera had the best day for BYU-Hawaii shooting a 6-over-par 78 to finish tied for 31st with an overall score of 27 over. Jacob Godfrey placed highest among the Seasiders at 25th individually with a score of 21 over par. Inoka Kahawaii was a stroke ahead of Herrera at 26 over to tie for 29th overall. Federico Clausen and Alex Stulce rounded out the group for BYU-Hawaii with a 32-over-par 248 to finish tied for 42nd place.
The Seasiders next head to the Notre Dame de Namur Invitational beginning on Friday, March 4.
