Seasiders take day one lead

TURTLE BAY, Hawaii – Federico Clausen and Inoka Kahawaii led BYU-Hawaii men's golf to a 15 stroke lead after finishing 18 holes on the Fazio Course at Turtle Bay Resort.

BYU-Hawaii finished with a 14-over-par 302 through the first round. Chaminade was 29 over par as a team and Hawaii Pacific was close behind at 35 over.

Clausen and Kahawaii both led the Seasiders at 3 over par, one stroke behind Chaminade's Jarin Harada for the day's best score. BYU-Hawaii's Matthew Jensen and Ales Stulce were one stroke behind their teammates with a 4-over-par 76 to tie for fourth place overall on the day.

The teams will play the Palmer Course tomorrow to wrap up the first tri-match of the Spring season.
